Valerie had just completed the taking the LSAT and her brain was numb as she walked back into the apartment she shared with Evan. Evan, always the energetic one, whisked her away to Mission Bay, picnic basket in tow, to celebrate the completion of the exam (or so he told her). They sat on a quiet stretch of beach, the sun warming them on a beautiful December day. The day was perfect. Leave it to Evan to make it even better by giving Valerie a beautiful ring and telling her he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. They kissed and cried and celebrated on an empty beach on a perfect day.
It wasn’t until the following day, in the kitchen of their apartment when Valerie realized and pointed out that Evan hadn’t actually asked her if she’d marry him. So he went down on one knee in their kitchen and asked. And received the answer he already knew was in both of their hearts.
I really couldn’t have pictured a more perfect wedding. I have sincerely enjoyed being a part of your lives. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart for including me in your celebration. And thank you, Christina, for suggesting Evan and Valerie meet me and for your incredible dedication to your work. It shows and I love you for it!
