He couldn’t sleep. He had the ring but couldn’t decide how he wanted to propose. He decided to start at the beginning by flying from Los Angeles to Queens to ask Cindya’s parents for her hand in marriage. He needed to know. Could he steal her away? Forever? Mom’s only worry was that Dad forgot to give Marcus a saucer with his cup of coffee. They happily approved and Marcus flew back to Los Angeles, their blessing with him.
Most women wouldn’t need coaxing to go on a vacation. But Cindya had been traveling for six months straight for work and was reluctant to cruise the Caribbean when she just wanted to stay home and relax. Marcus was persistent. A day into their cruise Cindya wondered how everyone knew Marcus’ name. She laughed to herself wondering if she was in a Cheers or Love Boat episode. She soon learned why. Marcus took a knee in front of a crowd of two thousand people and asked Cindya if she would be his? Forever?
Cindya: “After my laugh attack (hey some cry some laugh) I SAID YEEEEEEEES!”
Cindya & Marcus, thank you a million times for your kindness and hospitality. Among your many gifts is your ability to make people feel so incredibly important and special. As I drove home with my pie tin full of cake and my extra dinner to-go I didn’t mind the 2.5 hour drive. I just felt so lucky to have been blessed with you both in my life. No one else would ever ask their photographer to text them (on their wedding night!) to let them know they got home okay. You’re both amazing and I am excited for all that life has in store for you.
All my love,
